The Structure House Approach to Supporting those Struggling with Binge Eating

b. Therapeutic elements
c. Opportunities for body movement

Presenter:  Amanda Birkhead, MS, RD, LDN, CEDRD (application pending)

As a registered dietitian, Amanda conducts individual nutrition sessions, teaches nutrition classes, and supports participants on the Bridge Module for Binge and Emotional Overeating. With degrees in both psychology and nutrition, Amanda enjoys helping people develop eating patterns that connect them with their personal values and goals. Amanda has worked in foodservice, nutrition research, acute care, and weight/chronic disease management, and has spent a significant portion of her career working with individuals with eating disorders/disordered eating. She believes that a healthy diet is one that nourishes not only the body, but also the spirit and taste buds.

Originally developed as a program for weight management and wellness, Structure House is different than most traditional disordered eating treatment programs. People enter in to Structure House with hopes of addressing surface level health
